At the beautiful, sunny, and all-around cheery TinkerLab, Rachel created the DPS (double-page spread) challenge for folks (like her) who need to set aside time for greater creativity.
The challenge itself is very simple. Every day, open up your plain notebook (so you have two blank pages to work with in landscape mode) then put something on those pages. You can draw, glue, paste, doodle, etc. You can use markers, pencils, watercolors, coffee (OK, she didn’t say that, but you could!)…
The creative challenge is only limited by you. Which is to say, it is as limitless as you desire.
The idea of drawing a double-page spread every day sounds wonderful… but I’m going to just shoot for once a week.
This week, I drew the double-page picture below. (I liked the image on the right so much that I decided to swap it in for my blog header.)
Visit Rachel’s blog for some truly beautiful photos from folks who took up the DPS challenge.

Love your new biking girl — too cute, and very fun.
Thanks, hon.
I know, I change up my header a lot! But I can’t help it. I am artistically restless…
Vee,
I’ve just been reading and enjoying your blog. How did I miss it? I must follow. All your pictures are so attractive. I’m inspired to get out my drawing notebook!
God bless!
Sue,
How wonderful to see you here! Thanks so much for you kind words.
And do get out the drawing notebook!
Blessings to you and yours.
